The international energy company Burisma Group has completed the drilling of the next well #3 at the Vodianivske field in Kharkiv region. The depth of the well is 6042 m. The Service King Manufacturing SK3000 was used for the drilling campaign. Pre-testing activities are currently ongoing on the well with putting it in production following that.
Well #3 is the fifth well with a depth about 6000 m and second one with depth over 6000 m within Vodianivske field.
According to Taras Burdeyniy, CEO of Burisma Group, drilling of all deep and ultra-deep wells was carried out with benefit of a pitless drilling and sludge decantation technology by means of a special dehumidifier. This drilling approach meets the best international environmental standards.
Within the ten months of 2019, the Burisma Group completed drilling operations of well #42 within the Karaykozivske field (Kharkiv region). In addition, the well #38 at the Karaykozivske field, well #9-bis at Rakytnianske field and the well #7 at the Vodianivske field have been put in priduction.
“The global decline in energy costs has adjusted our investment program and plans concerning the number of new wells to be drilled. Nevertheless, we continue to operate within the investment plan and by the end of the year, we plan to put new wells that are currently drilling into production. Our company, like all domestic gas producing businesses, is now expecting support from the State. It will facilitate in strengthening energy independence and increasing the investment attractiveness of Ukraine”, said Taras Burdeyniy.
